Minute Papillon is a compilation CD released by Second Language Music.

The CD consists of sixty 60 second tracks, hence the play on words with the title – a French phrase that loosely means “Wait a Minute”.

The budget was very minimal and would usually have resulted in a large, expensive booklet to include all the credits for so many songs and artists.

The solution was a  low budget, tactile package, which includes an element of surprise when you open the box just to find a CD in the middle of the box and a magnifying glass.

It’s only on removing the disc that the reason for the magnifying glass is revealed – the text is set at a tiny size and fits hidden behind the CD, illegible unless the magnifying glass is used.

The cover photograph was by the artist Eva Rothschild.
