The Royal Society of Musicians (RSM) is Britain’s oldest musical charity, helping musicians who are unable to work due to injury or illness.
The RSM was formed in 1738 by musicians by a declaration of trust signed by musicians, including including George Frideric Handel.
The main typeface for the branding was based on a font designed in the year of the RSM’s formation sitting alongside a modern sans serif typeface, represent ing both the history of the society alongside it’s relevance in the modern age.
The same idea was applied on publications, advertising and digital work. The Society has a fantastic archive of paintings and memorabilia which we used throughout the branded materials to show the rich history whilst cropping images and setting type on top of them in a modern fashion.
We produced an identity and also worked on publications such as annual reports, advertising campaigns and also designed and built their website.
